Broadway Sings features custom-tailored musical theatre education at its finest.

 From musical theatre auditioning workshops, to guest artists direct from Broadway coming to YOUR production for a post show Q and A, our goal is to meet the needs of your age group, from elementary to university.

Our guest artist roster includes nothing but Broadway veterans whose wide array of credits stretch from 42nd Street to Les Miserables and beyond.

Where students learn the art and craft of Broadway...from working Broadway professionals!

Broadway Dreams is an ongoing Broadway Performance Workshop
- taught by actual Broadway professionals who have performed leading roles in Broadway shows such as Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia, and Mary Poppins.

Intensive:
The course will be an intensive professional training experience that will focus on teaching the students specific performance skills - as well as exploring many aspects of the business of being a successful professional musical theatre performer.
 
Supportive:
The training - geared towards developing and furthering the student's natural gifts - will give each young artist individual attention in a warmly supportive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging them to learn at their own pace and skill level while also challenging them to push their boundaries.

Comprehensive: 
 Each session of Broadway Dreams will explore many aspects of the craft of Broadway professional musical theater performance, including:

  • Vocal Coaching and Musical Theatre Song Study/Technique

  • Choreography - including learning actual Broadway choreography from productions such as High School Musical and Mamma Mia.

  • Dance Technique  - including ballet, tap, and jazz

  • Acting Technique - including theatre games, scene study, and character development

  • Audition Preparation and Technique - including a mock professional audition demonstration - everything from putting together your ‘book’ to the what you do when you walk into the audition

  • Business Lecture - agents, managers, resumes, pictures, Equity vs. Non Equity

  • Stage Make-Up (certain sessions only)

  • Stage Combat (certain sessions only)

  • Meditation for the Actor – stilling the ‘voices’ to get to the right place to perform

  • Broadway Guest Artists Q&A Sessions - guest artists currently working in the industry will give the students the perspective from currently working Broadway professionals

  • Interactive field trip to a Broadway shows: students will have the opportunity to attend a Broadway show as well as to interact backstage with the actual Broadway cast members. The field trips might include (TBD, depending on the production) activities such as a backstage tour given by one of the company members, and a Q&A session with cast members.

  • The Rehearsal Process/ Performanceeach session will culminate in a review performance of solo and ensemble material – giving the students a chance to demonstrate what they’ve learned – and to shine!

  • Complete Productions: certain sessions (TBD, depending on scheduling) will culminate in concert or staged performances of an entire musical – in a complete professional theatrical setting – including lighting, sound and professional live orchestra!


Making Professional Connections: Broadway Dreams provides students with the ability to learn the craft of musical theatre while making contacts and building relationships within the Broadway community. With the Broadway Guest Artist and Q & A Sessions guest artists will teach by example - answering questions as well as giving a demonstration performances so the students will have the opportunity to witness up close and learn from an actual Broadway performer demonstrating their craft.

(*** Note: Broadway Dreams Tuition price does not include admission to Broadway shows for field trips. Tickets will be purchased at current box office prices. The field trip will be voluntary per show, and not mandatory for all participating students.)

LES MISERABLES HIGH SCHOOL EDITION
 
After the closing of the Broadway production of Les Miserables, many high schools across the country have been doing their very own production of the Tony Award-winning musical.
