Christeena Michelle Riggs has most recently performed as Glinda in the National Touring Company of WICKED. Christeena made her Broadway debut as Eponine in Les Miserables, performing with Ricky Martin as Marius. She then was given the extraordinary opportunity of re-creating the role of Cosette in the 10th Anniversary Production of Les Miserables, giving her the honor of being the only young woman in history to perform both roles on Broadway. Some of her other theater credits include: Jane Eyre (Luisa, Broadway Cast), Sunset Boulevard (Betty, National Tour) with Petula Clark, Cinderella (Cinderella, Performed in Canada & US) with Eartha Kitt, The Scarlet Pimpernel (Marguerite, Ahmanson Theater, L.A.) with Douglas Sills, A Little Night Music (Anne, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera), The Pirates of Penzance (Mabel, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera), Li’l Abner (Daisy Mae, Goodspeed Opera), Grease (Sandy, California Music Theater), Two Cities (Lucy Manette, NY Premier), Frankenstein, the musical (Elizabeth, NY Premier). She has performed with the Utah Symphony and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra as Mary in Lex de Azevedo’s inspired masterpiece Gloria, the Life of Christ, with James Earl Jones. She has also performed for various charity groups and programs including; PBS, the United Cerebral Palsy Telethon, Have a Heart Children’s Cancer Society, Forever Young Foundation and the Anasazi Organization. She can currently be heard on iTunes and on the new CD Believe in Love singing “Wings to Fly,” an inspirational song written and produced by Jerry Williams. Christeena can also be heard singing the role of Mother on the new CD “Baby Light,” with memorable songs for young children.
