Mariand Torres was most recently handpicked by legendary director Hal Prince and Tony Winning director-choreographer Susan Stroman (The Producers)  to star as as part of an All-Star Broadway cast in the World Premiere pre-Broadway run of the review of Hal Prince's life's work, The Prince of Broadway, at Tokyo's Orb Theatre.  Prior to that, she was the Standby for the role of Elphaba in the First National Tour of Wicked. Regional/NYC credits include the Pre-Broadway World premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock, Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812, and the World Premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's Giant,  Mona in The People Vs. Mona. Mariand received the prestigious Carbonell Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Ensemble in a Musical for her rold in Murder Ballad at the Actor's Playhouse. 

She has done numerous workshops/readings with LAByrinth Theatre Company, Sundance Theatre Lab, New York Stage and Film, New York Musical Theatre Festival. Mariand has also had the pleasure of traveling to Beijing, China to perform at the opening of the Reignwood Theatre, where Placido Domingo was serving as Artistic Director.
